Following is a note from the president of the Friends of the Hooded Plover re the AGM.
It is now 14 months since we incorporated and our 1st Annual General Meeting will be held at 10am Monday 14th November at the Parks Victoria Offices ,Hinton Street, Rosebud.
It has been an exciting and worthwhile 14 months and the future of our Hoodies must be better with the increasing levels of interest in their well being. We are hoping all our members will be present at our 1st AGM to hear about the past and present challenges our Hoodies have presented to Parks Victoria Rangers over the past 21 years.
Hoodies are now nesting all over the Mornington Peninsula; two beaches have chicks on them already. Your support means even more today.
This meeting is for all interested people, so please bring along anyone you feel might like to involved in our Hoodies and their survival as a species.
Please find attached an AGM notice, Committee Nomination form and Membership Renewal form.
If by some terrible chance you cannot attend to vote, you may appoint a proxy to vote for you. The Secretary (Val Ford) needs to be given formal notice no later than 24 hours before the AGM and a form 3 Proxy form must be used.
Membership fees can be paid on the day and please remember to RSVP by Thursday 10th November
I hope to meet all members on the 14th to celebrate the successes we have had so far.
