Across the Mornington Peninsula, volunteers with Friends of the Hooded Plover, in conjunction with Birdlife Australia and Parks Victoria, perform vital work year round to help protect our beach nesting birds.
There are many ways you can help:
- Join Friends of the Hooded Plover Mornington Peninsula – You can support our work by becoming a member for only $10/year for an individual, $20/year for a family, or by sending a donation. Members can also help with a range of important activities including nest monitoring, locating new nests, wardening busy sites, activities to raise community awareness, constructing chick shelters and helping put up fences and signs.
If you’re interested in becoming a member, please contact Mark at: firstname.lastname@example.org
(See contacts for friends groups outside of the Mornington Peninsula here)
- Like us on Facebook – Show your support and stay up to date with developments by liking the Hooded Plover Mornington Peninsula page and Birdlife Australia page on Facebook. Click the links in our sidebar.
- Organise a school or community event visit – FoHPMP can assist with educational programs for local primary schools, bring a stall to local community events and attend local community group meetings.
